I am scheduled for surgery on June 13th at 8:00 am at St. Vincent's to have my gallbladder removed. Hopefully this will be the end of the horrible pain that I have been having since January. When Eric and I met with the surgeon on Tuesday he told us the main factors that contribute to having gallstones; they are: female (strike 1), pregnancy (strike 2), family history of gallstones (strike 3 thanks mom), and native american ancestry (strike 4). The ultrasound shows that I have a very large amount of tiny tiny tiny stones which, are of course the worst to have because, they can travel into other organs like the pancreas and make you really sick.
Anyways, please keep us in your prayers that day and weekend. I have experienced the new fear that comes with parenthood and the risk of surgery. This has been weighing on me since her birth, knowing that I have to have this surgery has been very heavy on my heart, that is now extra full of love for this new little person.

I, too, had my gallbladder out a month after Phin was born last year. Life has improved considerably. I was having trouble with mine before I got pregnant with Phin but had no idea what it was. The recovery is really not too bad from the surgery. Good luck!
That sucks! But at least you won't be hurting anymore. I'll be praying for you on Friday.
Oh my goodness. This is horrible! If you need us for anything, please let us know! I noticed that Eric's parents have been in town. I saw the Ohio plates when I would go running. Are they going to be here for this? Who is going to watch Sydney?
I hope the surgery goes well for you.
