Trailer Life

Granted it is only day 2 in the trailer but the kids are enjoying trailer life and it is fun to watch them experience new things. This is a picture of their first breakfast in the trailer, excited to get to our first park.

I snapped this photo of them enjoying a board game that Sydney created before we left. Rainbow Read is a game of blind drawing, with twists and turns and a lot of fun. She never fails to amaze us with her creativity and ingenuity.

Day 2 Texas

Friday was spent driving through Texas. We were on the road by 9 am and arrived in Odessa, TX at 8 pm. Long day, big state!!! Driving was a little different with a little more wind, and while I took the wheel my fingers went numb holding the wheel so tight. This rookie still has white knuckles. 😁

We enjoyed a meal at Cracker Barrel, a must for family road trips. We made a menu for the next few days and went shopping at probably the largest Wal-Mart I have ever seen. Setup of the trailer went faster and the kids and adults all slept well again. Saturday we will spend two nights in Carlsbad, New Mexico and explore 2 National Parks Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns.

Day 1 Texas Border

Day 1 is in the books! The truck did great towing, a little slower going than we are used to, but slow and steady wins the race. The kids did great and the adults are staying alert and getting used to hauling. We crossed 3 state lines Mississippi, Louisiana & Texas. We all slept great in our first night in the trailer and we are on the road again across the great state of Texas.

This Is Happening

Tuesday we picked up the 28 ft travel trailer that will be our home for the next month. The process of learning about trailers and all rving related items was made so easy with the wonderful and friendly people from Southern Cruzin' RV Rentals in Northport.

The truck did great towing and we were even able to get a little parking practice thanks to our awesome friend Jeannie Adams for watching the kids. The kitchen and all our loot is in the process of being packed just right and we will be on our way. Please keep us in your prayers.

This is our families National Park Pass and we are so excited to be able to use this and explore some of our nations natural wonders.
