A great Christmas

Happy New Year!

The Theall family had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year and a fun Thanksgiving. We started the holiday extravaganza off with a trip to Ohio. We flew to Eric's parents for a 6 day stay and had a great time visiting with them and watching Sydney play.

Next was Christmas, my parents and sister and her husband came to our house. It was so nice to have everyone here and we enjoyed every moment. Guess what? Nobody was sick either, a miracle!!!

We were not sure how Sydney would react this year to a visit to Santa, but we were very lucky and she loved Santa this year. Along with all the other fanciful creatures, like Frosty and Rudolph. So many Christmas songs I had to re-learn. We made a trip out to Bass Pro Shops and had to hold her back from running up to him. The concept of waiting your turn is still fairly new. Sydney was in awe and when we got to him she waved with all her might. She was not to sure about going to him by herself so mommy sat on Santa's lap. Santa gave Sydney a candy cane and I told her to say thank you, she said "tank you Santa" and proceeded to wave vigorously bye the whole way out of the store. Their Santa was really great and kept waving to her. You could just see in her eyes the joy. I love the picture Eric took of her looking back at him, she was in awe that she was actually seeing him. So cute!

New year's day was quiet and relaxing. I chose our home improvement project for the day, like I always do for New Years and it has turned in to a month long project instead. Our shower grout was old and also cracked and leaking water in the floor. We have removed the grout and the door and all the rotten wood and now we have the box fan set up drying the rest out. Hopefully we have saved ourselves from a larger more expensive project by addressing this issue now.

We wish you all had a wonderful holiday season and we hope to see you sometime in 2010!

Peace and Joy,

Kristina, Eric, Sydney and Scamper (new picts in photo gallery)
